Well, as I promised in my message last week, the Dreamstrike Mark III Slave
Goad is now on sale at the Bazaar:

The Mark III's main improvement over previous models is the new case. It has
an integral battery compartment, which allows the battery to be changed
without disassembling the goad. Also, it's slighly angled, which allows the
probes to project up a bit. This sounds odd but actually makes it a little
easier to see the actual contact area so you can judge how hard you're
pressing the probes into the skin. Pressing them into the skin a bit makes
the electrical stimulation a bit more, well, stimulating, but you don't want
to press hard enough to bruise. Being able to see the contact area is
surprisingly useful.

As before, the goad uses alternating current, which is much safer (although
nothing is absolutely safe - please read the warnings and instructions.) The
device is a useful tool in the discipline of slaves - I just have to pick
mine *up,* and she scrambles. I have seen a slave who could literally be
described as a "pain slut" flee in terror just because her master was
*examining* one. No well-appointed household should be without one.

I wish you well!

Too small. The point of the goad is not to deliver a shock; it is to
inspire terror such that the shock is unneeded. Needs about a 2-3 foot
handle; I'd be much more interested in a Rod of Mastery than a Little
Box of Mastery.

And the award for "Longest Delay between a Post and Response" goes to...
Gabriel! :)

It's true that it's not very big. That's part of its sinister mystery. Good
point, though. Something to consider if I get bored.
